We are very excited to announce LDFF’s Digital Film Market 2021, an exciting new joint initiative between Long Distance Film Festival, Cinemarket, and Aspect Ratio. The Digital Film Market aims to foster positive participation of promising creators in film markets worldwide. It will take place alongside a special industry day where films from this year’s festival will be made accessible to professional buyers registered on Cinemarket.
The Digital Film Market is dedicated to amplifying films directed by LDFF filmmakers, culminating in one to one industry meetings where this year’s filmmakers can sign up to receive a distribution consultation with Jordan Mattos, Head of Sales and Distribution at Aspect Ratio. These conversations will take place May 27th and May 31st.
About Jordan Mattos:
Jordan Mattos has imported to the US international films such as White Shadow by Noaz Deshe (Lion of the Future Award,Venice 2013), Soldate Jeannette by Daniel Hoesl (Tiger Award, Rotterdam 2013) and introduced American audiences to Miguel Llanso, releasing the Ethiopian sci-fi fantasy Crumbs in 2015. After distributing more than 400 films from 2004-2009 at the start of the VOD and streaming era, Jordan developed Aspect Ratio to focus on creating experimental solutions for the distribution of visionary films by maverick filmmakers worldwide.
This is a very exciting collaboration for all of us at Long Distance Film Festival. We believe many of this year’s selected filmmakers will be able to successfully sell their films through the Cinemarket service.
